since i'm going to blog about events that occurred on the 20th of May, i shall name this post the 20th of May, even though i am effectively typing it on the 21st of may. so there.
today was another good day, Chris finished up on the Dreamweaver workshop, where we learnt to make menu bars, dropdown menu lists, templates and a few other tricks! after the class, we stayed back to chat as well, and i formed a rough idea/plan regarding the modules i want to take for the next sem or two. this is taking into consideration that sem 2 is going to be JUST AS CRAZY this year, since i have Eusoff DP + 10th anni happening around the same time. phew.
after the workshop, i decided to head to the Deck to slack, since i only needed to be at PA to help out with the dance thingy @ 7pm. and coincidentally, i met Magnus at the Deck! unfortunately, we didn't speak much, though. i had lunch rather quietly because he was on the phone the whole time, haha! he hung up just as he was about to leave. :/
which was when Melvin and Zheng Han showed up!
Melvin, ZhengHan and i then proceeded to continue slacking at the Deck, watching Iron Man, talking, eating, figuring out what the heck was wrong with Melvin's free camera, laughing at Melvin niao-ing ZhengHan (this is the first time i've actually seen someone who can be niao-ed by Mel. honestly he's the butt of EVERYONE'S niao-ing!) and so on.
before we left, we meet Poonie and Fred, albeit separately.
(the Deck is seriously the central meeting place in NUS)
Weina was super early! sorry to keep you bored and waiting and harassed by supposed charity people selling cheapo ballpoint pens for $2 each to raise funds! :x
the Finale prac turned out to be really fun :) although it was also very tiring since Weina and i, being the only Hip Hop representatives there, were blocked in for all the onstage dancing. :/ good gosh i really suck balls at the Cha Cha Cha.
met Fazzy/Fazli there too! such a pleasant surprise seeing him there! :D he's reeeally good at Malay Dance--i never knew! :O
generally, the people there were all friendly and niceee. :) and the choreo they taught us was quite fun to do! it's not what we're used to doing, but it's a nice experience. :) i'm actually quite excited to learn the choreo Pat has in store for us 8 dancers. :D the Finale's already pretty fun, though Nana and i had to learn all the steps and blocking for all 4 songs in one night, but it was manageable. yayay can't wait for Sundayyyyy :)
i'm thankful for the chance to perform for this, even though it was kinda by accident/chance. i'm reeeally grateful. :)
i'm also really grateful for Weina, for her funny jokes, for her advice, and just for her concern. :)
there are better things in life to look forward to,
greater things in life to aim and strive for,
and sweeter things in life to take time to appreciate.
and i thank the good Lord for days and revelations like these. :)
