Costumes + Crazy Pracs + Good Food + Artwork

I've accumulated so many photos in my phone, I need to break this photo blogging into several posts in order not to have too long a post on my blog. xD hence some of these photos aren't as recent as I hope :P

I've been having to clean my room and pack stuff because we're moving house soon! I'll refer to it as The Big Move. :) and i take very long because I keep getting distracted by all the cool stuff I find in my room! like this autograph from my favourite Steve from Quest Crew. =^_^=

I also had the privilege of attending NUS Convocation thanks to Kris's free pass! it was an interesting ordeal :) and we had fun having our own informal grad shoot xD

this is what happens when Blast! BBQ meet heavy downpour. LOL.

it was also Char's birthday recently! happy 21st birthday darling! her bf JonNeo really went the extra mile to organise this adorable surprise for her! whee!

here's what happened during a random blast! movie outing--the system allocated Tacky some tickets that DIDN'T EXIST. there is NO ROW Q in this particular theatre! Sabbie and i were wondering if there was a secret second floor to the theatre somewhere when we walked in! 

THIS IS PROOF OF THE NON-EXISTENT SEATS BEING ALLOCATED TO US LOL.

we ended up waiting and having to change movie timing and theatre, but Batman was worth it. so good.

and of course, lots of Good Food. :)

my parents took me to eat really lovely ramen at this famous authentic ramen store in Raffles City! omg it was AMAZINGGGG. i love all the food there!!!

 Ajisen has Omu Rice! びっくりしまった！

 and my fave dish at TCC--mentaiko spaghetti hehe

apparently this nice ramen store near my house has really good curry too omg. i love japanese food so much.

it was zhiwen's birthday! so i surprised him with 3 cupcakes from twelvecupcakes HURHUR so punny. but he saw the surprise before i gave to him i think dammit lol.

and TWC and friends had this super super good korean BBQ buffet together, it was AMAZINGGGG. i really wanna go back soon!!!

I tried to get more artwork done during the hols to try and establish a client base! although i wasn't as efficient as I'd hope to be, i did manage to work faster than i did all sem. ^_^ gotta work harder, though! balancing both art and dance isn't easy, but it's definitely not impossible! :)

blending art and dance, i decided to draw out my SUAD costumes and Cred show costumes in order to plan what else i needed to buy/make/procure somehow! very effective method, i should do this more!

These few weeks we've been having to do costumes shopping to prepare our costumes for SUAD! Lotsa spoils from everywhere and good stuff during the Summer Fashion season! took bad it's swapped to fall already...

off to Hogwarts!

what a crazy fun weekend this has been! :D

the Blast!ards and i took a trip via the Hogwarts express on Friday to vist the Wonderful Magical World of Harry Potter! :) also, since we got a package discount with the Andy Warhol exhibition, we decided to go for that as well! :) it was CRAZY FUN.

all geared up to go with my fun nails! ever since i stopped working my F&B part time jobs, i've been able to play more with my nails! :D yay! while i was taking this photo, however, i was approached by a friendly aunty who was making conversation by asking me about my nails. (she caught me taking pictures of my own hands argh awkward LOL) she also asked if i was from China because i'm very white and look like i wear long-sleeved stuff all the time. :/ (i felt super self-conscious at that point because i was wearing a sleeveless top. but ah well)

sabbie also bought this $3 meal for me! we are such suckers for McDonald's promotions. HAHA.

we were sooooo excited to be here! although on hindsight, there wasn't much at the Harry Potter exhibition, and the prohibition of photography at almost ALL OF THE EXHIBITS was rather dampening on our enthused Potterhead spirits, we had really a lot of fun because of the company and the people that we were with. :)

first thing that happened was that Tim got violently pushed to "volunteer" himself for the Sorting Hat. xD i will never forget that epic moment! and soon enough, we were running into the exhibition area cheering and screaming like kids. (while the REAL KIDS just stood and stared at our gang running in, one pink-haired, one blue-haired, and the rest all strangely and colourfully dressed)

we were as loud and crazy as we dressed, and i hope we didn't cause too much disturbance for the people working there. xD

it was too bad that i had to view the exhibits with only one eye, because the first thing that happened when i stepped into the exhibition area was that my right contact TORE ON ITS OWN. my dear friends dubbed me Mad Eye Moody for the day. =______= (it doesn't help that i was wearing blue contacts that day either)

when we FINALLY found an area that we could take pictures in, we totally didn't bother with the fact that it was supposed to be a kids' area and not exactly the perfect location for taking pictures. the lighting was good and the people were game, so we went on a camwhoring spree! xD

we were so happy to finally be able to eat after all that excitement and fun!

so fun, but also soooo exhausting. our dear resident Troll taking a nap while we ladies spent our time shopping. (and looking for SUAD costumes)

i love how my friends have cool hair. :)

a day truly well spent with amazing people. i hadn't had this much fun in awhile! really thankful to have gone on this excursion with this crazy bunch of people. we even had our own Quidditch team! HEEHEE.

would love to go on such a crazy adventure again some time soon. :)

also had a lovely time chilling with the Thai Art girls and having dinner with them the night before Harry Potter. :) i love how we always go to eat Thai Food together! HEEHEE.

drinking Thai Ice Tea w/out milk to make myself feel better about the Eskimo i was going to consume after this. :P

we even took a trip to the Fullhouse restaurant to check out the place. it had the most lovely and precious deco ever! loved it!

i also had several mini adventures over this weekend that i managed to capture on "film". sometimes when you take your mind off the problems at hand, you learn to appreciate the little things that you are surrounded by, or that pop your way, crossing your path momentarily, but surely.

poor weesiang, knocked out cold and dead from continuous dance pracs. HAHAHA.

had a lovely time at Shiki's birthday party. her boyfriend arranged and organised everything--the sweetest thing ever!

and sabbie and i keep running into this koala who reminds us so much of Alex! xD Alex became Marigold's spokesman overnight! xD

one last thing, i'd like to keep long hair and be able to pull this off some day. :) (even though the dyeing would cost SUCH A BOMB because there's just SO MUCH HAIR.)
