i'm back!

yes, i'm back from church camp. X) found out that a lot of my church mates are going to ACJC. so rox, you won't be alone! you know some people! :D

well, it was a really new experience for me. 1. my first church camp. 2. first camp with BOYS. XD but the latter actually proved to be pretty amusing and interesting XP

first day. we went to sentosa to playyy!!! it was really fun, except that i got sunburnt. in like REALLY WEIRD PLACES. i burned the back of my hands and the back of my legs. mostly. also got burns in normal places la. XP ack ack pain pain.

first game was the grossest ever. there was a bottle placed in the sand, some distance from the sea. our task: to fill the bottle with seawater using whatever we had. no other materials, like pails, allowed. so my group came up with the ingenious idea to use our mouths ^-^ trust me, sea water does not taste tasty. AT ALL. to make it worse, pastor jasper kept giving us vivid descriptions as to what was in the darn water. eww eww eww.

but guess what? MY GROUP WON! WAHAHA. anyway, thanks to gerald foo, our group was named the little devils. -_- we had a lot of little ones, and 2 were particularly cheeky la, so hence the name, courtesy of gerald foo. my group leader was jane! yeah man, was glad that there was another sec 4 in my team. awesome leader, she is! helped me feel very comfortable and at home during this camp! :D other members were deborah, her sis, gerald foo, jeremy, leroy, grace, serene and gerald tan who came later. yi hui, steven and selena joined us sometimes too. X)

then we played double whacko. but the twist in the game was that instead of a whacko stick, they used a super soaker water gun. and guess what they filled it with? yup. the water from the bottles that we filled earlier. i pity the poor dudes/dudettes who got squirted. XD

after this we played treasure hunt in our groups. this was our main cause of the sunburn. exhausting, but still entertaining. when aveil came (he came late), he saw us and was like O_o. cuz we were all frantically looking for the X which marks the spot where the sacred relic was buried so all of us looked really funny, overturning this and that. XP then he laughed and asked what we were doing. XD turns out that we were the group that found the sacred relic! yay! but still, we didn't win the game this time. XP

after that the weather was weird. it drizzled a little, then was hot again. then it rained pretty heavily. we were still mad enough to play dog and bone in the rain. then the guys insisted on playing soccer and some girls went to join. very amusing to watch ^-^

that night, we played some fellowship games like blow wind blow & squirrel and trees. suddenly, our juniors IC hong yu 'fainted'. that marked the start of our night games! yeah, it's pretty much like a night walk. ^-^ so you know what to expect:

upon seeing the 'monsters', some people went,

"hi louis! eh, wait, no that's ian! hi ian!"

entertaining for the teens/slightly older ones but really scary for the young ones. they were really frightened, so much so that we had to excuse them and let them stop the game. but us, the crazy teens continued. so it was just jane, gerald tan, gerald foo, jeremy, grace, another girl called ling li who joined us later, and me.

jeremy was really freaked out, especially by nicolette (she was one of the station masters). we lost one of our lightsticks to her because he threw it at her! XD the lightstick saves us from monsters and he lost our last one! furthermore, nicolette wasn't supposed to be a monster. XD goodness.

we saw michelle foo being dragged off for 'torture'! the 'monster' was like,
"NGAHAHA I'M GOING TO TIE YOU UP!"
then michelle went, "wait, don't tie up my hands!"
"huh. why?"
"i want to PRAYYYY."

XD we couldn't help laughing when we saw her! even the 'monster' was laughing too.

oh and there was one time, a lightstick was put in the middle of a room in darkness. i expected it to be a trap, but we really needed a lightstick, so ran in to grab it. just as i expected, ian rushed out from the shadows covered in something that looked like toilet paper and flour and tried to grab me. luckily i ran out without being captured.

gerald foo just had to be geh kiang and decided to do it instead. he walked into the room, shouted, "IAN I SEE YOUU." tried to fight ian for awhile, but was captured and brought for 'torture' in the end. -_- but still XD we managed to get him back after awhile. apparently they fed him pepper and tickled him XP

yes, night walks with guys are really funny. X) jane and i were thoroughly amused.

went to sleep at 2. cuz the night games ended only at 1. so we ended up bathing at 1 something.

second day. played 3 legged soccer which was really funny! and we also played a water bomb game where one of the tasks is to grab a pole and turn 10 rounds around it. after it, everyone felt so giddy you can see them tumbling everywhere! camp comm caught it on video (for blackmail)! funny! some guys upped the 'stakes' and made it 20. then 30! they challenged it each other and ended up rolling all over the ground. all of us just sat watching, roaring with laughter. X) strangely enough, i managed to run in a fairly straight line ^-^ HAH.

after that it was water bomb time--free for all! luckily i didn't get bombed by anyone. PHEW. ^-^

there was actually free time in the afternoon! i mean, none of the camps i've ever been to had anything such as free time. the day is usually fully packed. X) played board games with the church pals and ended up making up nonsense words in scrabble.

then, we decided to watch anime!

first we watched blood plus. it's not a bad anime, actually. quite adddictive too. a little gory, though. watched it with jane, yi hui, emily and gerald tan. gerald is such a jap and anime freak! it's scary! XD we also watched death note which turned out to be really intriguing. L is actually pretty cool, even though he still scares me XD

that night we played a gross game which involed us drinking all sort of gross things. yuck. nathaniel's concoctions. X_X we actually had to eat chilli padi too! and this idiot of a nicole touched her eye after picking up the chilli padi. MAN did it burn!!! ow ow ow.

the BBQ's food was really good. we even had marshmellows, turkey and stingray! yum. after that, jane, yi hui, another guy (forgot his name XP), zackery and gerald tan got together to talk about anime/LOTR/harry potter. X)

then jane, gerald tan and i went to another room to talk about stuff like JC/pre-u life before deciding that we wanted to watch anime later that night. ^-^ i was trying to guess zackery and gerald's age. i ALMOST got gerald's right, k. haha.

later that night, we really did stay up to watch death note, including many others not from the original anime watching squad. we ended up going to sleep at 3. sheesh. so not smart. that's why we were all so dead this morning. but when we heard that there'd be time to watch anime again, we all perked up! so the original anime watching squad (emily, jane, yi hui, gerald) went to watch blood plus again. by the time we had to go for sunday school, quite a crowd had gathered round us (ie the laptop) already XD heh heh.

church today was quite quiet. cuz all the youths were really tired. after everything, gerald was lying flat on the bench. all of us were so sleeeeepy. X)

so i went home, had lunch, and slept till dinner. X)

church camp was fun. i thank the good Lord for keeping us all safe and allowing us to have such good fellowship with one another.
wished you guys were there, though.
