woozy.

okay, i know this is so not me, but i've just painted my nails for prom tomorrow! ugh but the smell of the stupid nail polish has made me pretty woozy. @_@

step up is the COOLEST movie i've watched in ages! so glad i managed to watch it with the usual dudettes. now i have this inkling to add a "y'all" or "wassup" to my words. so many people in the show speak like that, y'all. oops. XP

oh man, it's late. i should be getting my beauty sleep in preparation for prom... *flails her hands in the air, squealing like a bimbo*

i've visited people's blogs and have been moved by some entries. this really made me think about something: are pretty people really at an advantage compared to us average people?

yeah, sure. hollywood blows up the whole idea of being beautiful on the outside, using suttle means to indoctrinate us into thinking that average looking people stand to gain less from life than physically attractive people. but is this really true?

OF COURSE NOT.

i am ashamed to think that i used to think this way. but at least i don't any more. :)

God hasn't been any less fair to me than anyone else. i may not be what people would call "chio", but look what else God has given me. He's given me a wonderful family, a safe place to live in, and of course, amazing friends to take care of me, friends who i don't even deserve in the first place. would it be fair to Him if i accused Him of being unfair to me just because He hasn't blessed me with an attractive appearance? of course not! He's given all of us so much more than we deserve. maybe it's just that some of us just haven't realised it.

if any of you feel this way, it may be good to stop and think if you've been making the same mistake as i did. =)

i completely agree with nic's views on her blog entry. and i think it's good if, once in awhile, we take time to reflect on what we do have and not what we don't. looks are only shells. if a guy chooses to judge you based on your shell, that's HIS loss. why should you care, right? :) you deserve better.

and believe me, most of the guys i know don't judge just by shells. it may not be fair to them for us to assume that they do. (yeah, scully they come after you with M16s ah.)

wow. what an appropriate time to talk about looks-the morning just before prom. when all of us have been spending a considerable amount of time and money just to look pretty for this one night. what's funny is that most of us aren't the type who wouldn't think of spending too much time or effort to make ourselves look pretty for one night. but look at what we're doing now. XD

then again, it's for the memories and for the fun of it. for now, don't bother about the question of whether it's really necessary or not. many of the things we do for fun aren't necessary either. but we still do them. for fun. ^_^ so let's just enjoy this one night WITH OUR FRIENDS. as i said before, this is our night. ;P

so, be yourselves, guys. *hollers* CUZ YOU CAN'T HIDE WHAT'S INSIDE. XD
