whoo! today has been a happy day :)

really enjoyed:
1) macs breakfast with kris and fangirling over Avengers! we are such hopeless nerds seriously.

2) shopping in art materials and books' Narnia (Bras Basah) :P (i love shopping for stationery, art materials, sketchbooks and artbooks!) really love going to bookstores and art stores especially Art Friend. i'm always tempted to buy things i don't really need like a round-edged sketchbook. and a tiny thick hard-cover sketchbook. (i have a few sketchbooks i haven't even started using yet!)

3) chilling and drawing at Coffee Bean with kris :) managed to ink and colour half of my Soul Eater request art! planning to finish the rest by tonight! :) productive much when you're drawing with someone. so glad i had krissy for company today!

4) S24 prac today!!! really laughed a lot and had a lot of fun at today's prac. ^_^ it helps to lighten up once in awhile and simply enjoy the process. :) we suffered together at our first PT session in AGES and also everyone was just really crazy and high today for some reason!

5) queuing in the uber long queue with weesiang and wilson at qisahn for the collection of DIABLO III!!!! XD hanging out with them during and after that at supper was super fun too. haha we are such nerrrrdsssss seriously. i haven't something this nerdy in awhile. :P

so all in all, a really good day. :) today has really been a blessing. thank You for today. :)

in other updates about life, Mother's Day was yesterday! made a video montage for my mummy as a present :)

it's really challenging to think about what to get her every year, because she's really got good taste and has almost everything that she wants already. she's also very practical and doesn't like getting decorative things. not to mention that we're moving house so she'd appreciate something that wouldn't add to the bulk of things we have to shift out of this place.

so i decided to do a photo montage to thank her for being such a blessing in my life. :)

we went to Palm Beach restaurant to have nice dinner with the extended family. it was nice having a family dinner again, and the food was pretty good too! :D

also, started my first day of work at Hatched on Saturday! (i got both jobs in the end! yay!) wow, what a way to start a first day! the place was packed to the brim (both 2 floors of the cafe) and customers were just coming in non-stop during the lunch hour! our 7-hour shift didn't consist of any break or anything. it was really fun, but also tiring. x___x F&B jobs are wayy more fun than sales jobs!

after my super nerdy post-rant about Guilty Crown, i'm back to updating about life hencefar!

the weekend to today has been pretty much packed full as well! i'd better update till it gets too overwhelming and too much to post! :P

Saturday lunch was spent at Sushi Tei with the fam.

had dinner that night with one-quarter of the old EPC gang, Tacky and Willy on Saturday. it was a lovely time catching up, updating each other about our lives, nerding out about games and anime plotlines... it felt just like old times. :) we also had lovely indonesian food. (it felt like a tribute to willy's new indon gf HAHA)

Sunday family time spent at Borsch Steakhouse. never liked the place because of its over-priceyness but ah well.

and this is the snack packet Weesiang packed for us from Hokkaido! it's just like the ones i packed for everyone when i came back last year laden with snacks xD LOL

moving out on Monday was suchhhh a chore. i just have too much stuff, seriously. thankfully i had mum's car to help me bring everything back. i dunno how i would've gotten all this stuff back otherwise. x____x

S24 prac on Monday night started off hilarious thanks to stupid Tim again. xD we have now found a new way to transport people overseas!

had supper at RK House with Wilson, Wan and Yumi after that where we talked about dance, the dance industry and everything under the sun.

i realised that there are some people in the dance scene i'm sorta close to, who i have a like-dislike relationship with. personally i've nothing against them, but sometimes the things that they do make me question a lot. then sometimes the things they do for the club make me feel thankful, and i find myself an ungrateful bastard for harbouring negative thoughts about them.

i guess it never hurts to be a bit more tolerant and patient towards everyone. :)

btw this is jiali's ADORABLE NAUGHTY BUNNY who has managed to learn to climb stairs!!!

 Jiali stopped her in her tracks--look how stunned she is!!! xD what a cutieeeee.

today i spent most of my afternoon with my mum, aunt and grandma. was kinda spaced out throughout the day, i'm not sure if it's due to a lack of sleep or just general accumulated fatigue but i was really stoned throughout the day. crashed for a few hours straight when i got home as well. sigh.

but lunch and tea were good. :) Crystal Jade Kitchen spicy noodles!

 and hot chocolate with fluffy marshmallow cloud at Picnique! the hot chocolate wasn't fantastic, but i thought the marshmallow cloud was cute. :) the bottom of the marshmallow is a little melted and it was a super sweet treat to have. a bit filling, but i love sweet stuff anyway. ^_^

my first Cred Crew outing is on tomorrow--we're going to catch The Avengers! after LAN-ing. HAHA. such nerds, seriously. xD

Spotlight 2012 - A New Beginning

just when i decided to start blogging more regularly and with more photos, a lot of things are happening in my life! :O

last night marked the end of my Danz People Recital 2012 journey, which has been a particularly memorable one because of many things:
1) my first studio recital EVER!
2) first time performing this style of dance
3) first time performing (and meeting) this group of people

i'm really thankful for the experience, and when i look back, i'm actually really glad i joined, regardless of how badly exams and mid-terms clashed. our practices weren't the most gruelling, we were pretty laid-back most of the time (due to early completion of our item). yet, the experience was most rewarding. :)

the last day of our Don Cornelius Tribute journey began with lunch with the dt people! :)

my lunch! oh it was soooo yummy, so good. i never knew tongseng had an air-conditioned room upstairs, am so going to come back here. :)

getting to the backstage was an adventure on its own. we weren't allowed to enter by the front and had to go in by a completely different BUILDING altogether. i brought back my stage pass paper though! yay! ^_^

our allocated dressing room was okay-sized, except that they fitted 60 people into this TINY room. O___O talk about overcrowding! we thus spent most of our time OUTSIDE the room instead. haha.

reaching the dressing table is a challenge on its own. too many people and too many bags.

felt the joy after curtain call, everyone was simply happy for a night well-performed. :)

regular blogging is addictive. you find something to blog in the every day. no wonder people do this, eh. :P

these days so far.

 life has been good to me after the exams. ^_^ i've been inspired to really go ahead with:

1) applying for a low-commitment part-time job at a cafe/eatery, since i've always wanted to try waitering.
2) embarking on efforts to start an online store selling merchandise made by me!
3) blogging more often to remind myself that i have a really blessed life. :)

one of the first things i wanted to do when i finished my papers was to work on the many requests i have from fellow deviantArt members. @____@ just take a look at the amount i've accumulated!

so without hesitating, i finally finished colouring the line-art of one of the requests that was really long overdue. ^_^" this artist's characters were sooo adorable! not the kind i would design, but it was really fun drawing them! :)

before the exams ended, i did down some comfort food with my folks at Ichiban Boshi :) i had a sashimi craving that day~

and who can resist this lovely どびんむし (dobinmushi) which is basically yummy clear soup that comes in a cute little teapot like this.

had S24 practice tonight! :) even though there were relatively fewer of us, it was still fun. :) dancing with the Blast!ards is always rewarding.

and going through my computer harddrive for old photos of the blast!ards allows me to find crazy stuff. (oftenwhich is taken during exams)

this year there was more during-exam-craziness, lol.

 this gold crane below was made by fazzy for good luck! (using the craft paper i bought him from Thailand) it's TINY.

but thankfully, exams are over! :D here's some WIP shot of the Sailor Senshi request~

and i found my Transformers belt on one of my shorts that i haven't worn in awhile! forgot i had this baby~ (i actually thought the Decepticon logo looked better but i'm an Autobots supporter ALL THE WAY.)

yesterday i finished chapter 206 of D.Gray Man, and i'm really loving Hoshino Katsura-sama's storytelling skills and art-style more and more. ❤ Allen is really my favourite character, messed up as he is, he's amazing, such an endearing character. ❤ ❤ ❤

and Kid!Allen is SO FREAKING ADORABLE TOO. ❤ ❤ ❤

I took a glimpse at the next chapter and saw Lavi being tortured and stopped. ; ___ ;

so this was a post of really random musings and pictures from life. ^_^" i am now pondering whether to purchase Diablo III or not. hmm...
