SUAD + A New Home

So many things have happened at the same time, it's hard to keep track of everything and keep up with Life. But I am thankful for it, every day. :)

SUAD

Wow. What a journey it has been.

To be honest, before SUAD 2012, I haven't had as physically draining and emotionally trying a journey during any other Blast! concert. (EMCC came close because our comm organised it but this was on a whole new level) 

Towards the end of the preparation, my body literally gave way, and I wasn't sure I was actually going to be able to perform properly on the show day... And because of certain drama going on, I felt really emotionally drained and bogged down by all these problems. On hindsight, it was so unnecessary, and I needn't have worried or given so much thought to it. :)

"Surround yourself with people who make you laugh, love those who treat you right. 

Pray for those who don't, and love them anyway. :)"

"The most memorable people in life are the ones who loved us even when we weren't very lovable."

And part of this journey taught me who the people I should value more are, and what issues I should just grow up and move on from. Instead of wallowing in regret, I will figure out how to fix things. :)

In other news, we've moved house to nice place in Novena! the location is amazingly convenient, and I quite love the house too. I'm in love with my bed and the bed frame my mum ordered for me! 

the first time I came home my room was in a complete mess. D: and my bed was a floor bed HAHAHA.

Sticking my stuff into the bed frame was fun :) I love decorating this thing.

Gardens + Hair Curling + ThePerfect Wedding + Running Man

wow it's been such a long time since i've written an update! :O

so much has happened and i have soooo many photos i want to upload, i don't even know where to start! D:

let's start with Gardens By The Bay then. :)
Gardens By The Bay

so i took a trip with my mum and the aunts to Gardens by the Bay, and damn, was it beautiful or what?

 weird hairy snakey cactus thing that made my hair stand!

 i'm just such a sucker for flowers. i love how they look, what they smell like, what they mean...

 HUGE HIBISCUS!!!

 these strange lantern flowers are beautiful and so unique!

 the waterfall was simply amazing. i've never seen a man-made waterfall like this one before, and it was really spectacular walking on those high bridges and getting a view of the whole dome and beyond. (transparent roofs and walls)

following which we had a lovely lunch at kou de tat, where everything was yummy and delicious. (or maybe we were just famished)

Hair Curling Technique!
So Zhiwen wants us to sport an afro-like hairstyle for his SUAD item, and Jiayi found this really cool home curling video, and we decided to try it out!


this method is FREE, tangle free, and totally temporary! great for a temporary curl when you need it, and easy to get rid of when you don't want those curls anymore!

still got some perfecting to do, but i'm glad the curling technique actually works! yipee! :)

Running Man x S24
Thanks to a few dedicated and crazy PD-nims (Jess, Kris and Char), the S24 gang and friends had our first Running Man game! It was CRAZY and full of running around and screaming and weird random jokes and backstabbing and double-crossing (i totally got tricked and double-crossed by Tim :( ) but all in all, an interesting experience for someone who knows almost nothing about Running Man before this.
(i've admittedly only watched 1 episode, but i liked it and aim to watch more in future :) )
