one step after saving the world...twice!

D3 has taken over my life for quite a bit, but i'm taking a short hiatus from it because my party and i have made it to Hell Mode which is one kind of DIFFICULT. :( RARR.

so back to blogging on daily life, been having lots of fun with S24 pracs, going for classes, eating out and hanging out with friends... i really love the holidays! i'm really worried about results being released and all... because this is quite a turning point in my life--whether i will be staying in school to slug it out for another year (honours year isn't going to be easy) or whether i will be graduating and leaving school forever...

the day of reckoning is drawing close, on the 28th of May.

i kinda wish we were having S24 rehearsal on that day so i could come crying to my dear friends for comfort if results aren't going to be in my favour. ; v ; but that's the only day of the week that we won't be having rehearsals.

next week is going to be intense rehearsal tuesday-friday because the competition is on SUNDAY 3RD JUNE. D: !!!!

till today we haven't had a single full attendance rehearsal because the competition involves a 24-person crew coming together to put up an item. so it's pretty difficult to get full attendance in that sense. our costume isn't finished and our item still needs cleaning and tightening at the loose ends.

but somehow i believe that we can do it. :) there is a higher purpose, a higher being who has brought us together as a team and to this competition. :) i believe His hand is guiding us and leading us to go further in this.

yesterday i revamped my blocking after re-thinking and re-planning it over a whole afternoon.
i am soooo happy and satisfied with the results. :) the dancers really managed to make it work. :) people like them are such encouragements and inspiration to me... they remind me why i love choreographing, dancing, teaching, learning and sharing DANCE. they're always so supportive and sooo fun and they're such fun and crazy people. i really am so thankful for this experience of being able to dance with them in a team.

not to mention Tim's awesome hair! which gave all of us a shock yesterday! HAHAHA.
no photoshopping or contrast upping whatsoever! this is the actual colour of his hair!!! i personally love this colour a lot, even if it is a little loud. i can't wait to do something to my hair too after S24 is over haha. it's been a while!

in other news, a few old Hwa Chong Music and Dance (MAD) friends and i went back to catch MAD + Chinese Dance's annual dance concert, Dance Night. :)
this year's program booklet was really well-designed! i really loved the texture of the paper and looking through the booklet!

the show itself was impressive! so many awesome items, i especially loved Dan's creepy black&white item, An An's item, and the last item. whoa SO MANY AWESOME STUNTS. the girls can flip, the bboys can dive through weird places and be lifted by girls WTH LOL i was soooo amazed! the juniors are really getting more and more amazing every year. (and so are the lights. dammit we never had moving lights or party lights or strobes in my time) i don't remember Dance Night being so impressive back in my time.
well done juniors :) i know you all worked very hard for this. thank you for an amazing show. :) we really enjoyed ourselves.

it was really nostalgic being back in JC. so many years have passed, we're already J6 this year. (WTF ANCIENT PLS) and it was strange yet sweet being back in the school where everything started--friendships, my dance journey, my slow entering into adulthood...
this super addictive and yummy century egg tofu at Curry Wok is my favourite dish there! :D
willy and casey being idiots haha.
it was also really fun meeting up with the EPC gang again. :) even though half the convo was spent on Diablo 3, we had a good time catching up. we even went to an old nostalgic haunt to eat before the sho, Curry Wok! miss that place, and that school, and everyone in it. it's always good to keep old friends close. i've really learnt to treasure ALL my friendships, old, new, short, sweet, rocky... all my friends have been a great blessing in my life. giving me inspiration, support, love...always. if i ever were to choose what i believe to be God's greatest gift to me, it'd probably be my friends and family. ❤

in order news, i've been snapping photos of good food enjoyed with my loved ones over the past week! xD

Shoyu ramen at the ramen cafe near my place!
and lovely mentai gyoza! i really love this...
and uncle ken bought back the yummy Rokkatei's Marusei Butter snack from Hokkaido when he went there! AHHH this thing is the yummiest ever!!! ❤
beef Bolognese at Swensens! :P

and my dear cousin Keen is back from the states! so we hung out at bugis to shop and stopped by taimei for yummy food!

last pic for the day: decided to do my nails in between playing D3 HAHA not the best idea i had, nearly got killed while running away from monsters with wet nails HAHAHA. but i still like how they turned out. at least no major screw ups.

i really should get to work on my webcomic if i actually plan on ever releasing it before school starts. :/

FUN WEEK. THANK YOU GOD FOR THIS WEEK! i'm starting work at Coco Ichibanya @ 313 starting tomorrow (friday)! do pop by if you'd like to see me mess up have a nice meal before going to O School. :)
