Love is patient, love is kind.
Love is giving, love is blind.
Love embraces all, love is selfless,
Love loves the weak, the lonely and the helpless.
Why do people say they love when they expect something in return?
Why do people say they love when they say it hurts?
Why do people think that love must always be mutual?
Why are people seldom able to truly love?
Love is loving someone,
Caring for someone,
Sacrificing for someone
Without expecting anything in return.
Love makes one happy when one gives it to others
Even if one receives nothing in return
Or receives terrible horrible things in return
Love shouldn't only be given when someone is guaranteed to love you back
Love is given even if the person cannot appreciate it
Love makes the giver joyful and content
Love expects nothing in return
Nothing.
Not even love itself.
Love is not just between a boyfriend and a girlfriend.
Love can be between friends, family...
Love can be between a person and God.
God is Love.
God is giving.
God is sacrificing.
God is Love.
But people are so caught up with expecting the people they love to love them the same way
Not understanding that love doesn't give a shit about all that.
Love...just loves.
Just plainly and simply and innocently.
There's no need to complicate it.
To try to analyse it.
To try to break it down into logic and explanations.
Love...simply loves.
That's a basic, simple, universal truth.
