the chalet was a blast. :) freaking awesome. although i feel utterly worn out now, and typing coherently is a little more difficult than usual, and my Dear Mother poured a truckload of cold water on me when i got back,
i feel very very satisfied and happy now. :)
too bad it all passed so quickly. x(
it felt like just a while ago that i was waiting for the 2 clowns Yoga and Anaz at Punggol MRT. and they totally had to yell BOO and make me jump. thanks guys you guys are geniuses la.
(and i'm the biggest genius for falling for it)
soon, we were at VivoCity talking, eating, and sharing our life stories. i found out quite a bit about them that i never knew, or rather, never got to talk to them about before. like how they do actual DANCING in clubs. like how cool is that? :D for someone who's never gone clubbing before and always has had her dream of battling/cyphering with her crew in a club smashed by other regular clubber friends, talking to Yoga and Anaz about their clubbing experiences was indeed enriching. :)
after lunch we decided to hang out at the arcade where Yoga and Anaz played this really cool racing game! they were pretty good at it, but not as good as they were at DDR. MAN you should've seen them. total ownage. 30 seconds into the game and it was Game Over. BEAT THAT. XD
(just kidding guys, i know that the machine was too crazy la.)
we then skipped over to the awesomely HUGE Hypermart at the basement, which was SO BIG AND HIGH-CEILING-ED AND PACKED WITH STUFF. so much so that we took 20 minutes just to find the section selling non-gassy drinks. -_______-
after the 2 hungry geniuses bought some random food, we met Suadi, Lex, Daniel, Andrew (blank), Colin, and Nicholas and our whole NOISY CHAPALANG group hopped over to Sentosa via monorail. WHOA we were so rowdy and excited, and there was this poor chap caught sitting amongst us. he got out as soon as he could, looking as if he hadn't seen daylight or peaceful days in years. SORRY RANDOM INNOCENT STRANGER!
we made a grand entrance to the chalet huts, which are btw very very cosy and homely. <3
didn't get to eat a single bit of catered food there lol. we were very late. :P we also missed rather intense games of dare and double-dare which apparently involved a lot of kissing. O_O
i am (for once) SO GLAD THAT I WAS LATE. *phew*
we then went to play BEACH VOLLEYBALL IN NEAR TOTAL DARKNESS. it was...an experience i will never forget. :) i am not very good at volleyball, worse at BEACH volleyball, and EVEN WORSE at NIGHT beach volleyball. my team was full of epicwin. i love them. <3
at one point in time, KC and i realised the ball was never going to fly in our direction, so we squatted like bengs and started singing campfire songs.
then we decided to build sandcastles. :) yes. in the middle of the court AND in the middle of a match.
all was well till Anaz David Beckham KICKED the VOLLEYBALL (NOTE: THE IRONY) to our side and of all the 10 people in our team, the ball just HAD to hit ME.
of course, everyone made a big fuss. -_____-
then colin served the ball, while i squatted down to continue with my magnificent castle, and GUESS WHAT. the genius served the ball directly at my butt. (lol i forgive you colin)
KC and i gave up building sandcastles after that.
the dudes felt like going to the pool, and since i wasn't allowed to go swimming by my Dear Mother, i stood nearby and of course ended up being half as wet as them anyway. :) thanks for bringing the fun out of the pool, guys. i really appreciated the drenching. <3
i forgot exactly what happene next, but i remember Daniel, Yoga, Anaz, Betty, Andrew Wong and i heading over to 7-11 to buy food cuz some of the goons were hungry. (including myself LOL) we bought lotsa food and sat outside to talk and eat. i learnt a lot from that conversation. about gangs, about relationships, about life in general. stuff that my parents would never bother or dare to tell me in person. they'd probably think that i'd take it the wrong way and be negatively influenced/led astray. XD
dudes. i'm 18. and i've the Holy Spirit leading me and the Lord protecting me. DUH.
anyway, after the outdoor talk session, we proceeded into the huts for an indoor talk session, which ended up as a Daniel James Sketch Show trial runthrough! the audience wasn't very cooperative, or rather they were TOO cooperative. XD the stand-up comedy ended up totally two-way and it was so entertaining and funny, we actually forgot to sleep for quite awhile. :P
when we finally did sleep and finally finally woke up, we found that the sun had already risen and that yoga, daniel and lex had already been to see turtles and fish and stuff. x(
oh yes. and that lex had scattered a family of 5 peacocks, and CHASED one member that strayed away from the rest from Underwater World to the beach. the things some people do for entertainment. XD
though we missed out on the morning fun because the geniuses forgot to wake us up, we did have a lot of fun after that. betts and the guys wanted to swim again, so yes, i got drenched, AGAIN, without even having to enter the pool. the guys then came up with the crazy idea to watch A MOVIE, even though we were all so shagged and would probably fall asleep during the movie.
so yes. Daniel, Yoga, Anaz, Andrew Wong and i went to Plaza Sing, lunched at KFC, and knocked out there for awhile. crashed at a Comics Store, and went to watch 12 Rounds. which was actually pretty cool, though Daniel Yoga and Andrew all fell asleep at one point in time or another. so yes, we paid $10 to crash in the theatre. =___=
then i came home and crashed on my bed again.
then i woke up and got bombed by my Dear Mother. who is unhappy about me spending 'too much time' with the musical people (we've only met up once every week), and not believing that it's possible for me to make close friends within 5 months. well. as much as i'd like her to believe that these people are my second family, there's not much i can do if she refuses to, right? just gotta keep her in prayer.
she's still frickin pissed with me now. lol. cuz though i just came back from a chalet, i'm talking to Lex on the phone, musical ppl online, and smsing friends too. XD
man, i'm annoying.
my parents are totally not for me helping Daniel with this performance, which doesn't help AT ALL. but i'm still going to fight my way through for it. :) it's what i WANT to do. i don't really feel like caring much about what they think anymore.
so Dear Mum.
i'm 18.
i'm not grown up yet.
i still have lots to learn.
i don't deserve total independence yet.
but this doesn't mean you have the right to diss my friends,
to accuse me of doing things i didn't and get angry when i defend myself,
to refuse to hear me out,
to stamp on my dreams and call me childish for having them,
to snort in disbelief when i say i've made close friends over a period of 5 months,
to discredit what i say with a simple,
"you haven't seen the world. wait till you become a parent."
you DON'T have the right to diss my friends. EVER.
oh yeah, and you.
if i've forgiven Terrance, i think i can forgive you too. :)
i mean, how can we expect God to forgive us when we can't forgive others, right?
so don't worry. you get another chance. :)
