MAD camp.

dance camp was IMBA FUNNNNNN. :D:D:D

here's what we learnt in terms of choreo:
-lyrical hiphop 'wait for you'
-poppin
-lockin
-dan's nice but tiring choreo
-basic bboy steps INCLUDING BABY FREEZE
-an an's hiphop choreo
-house
-dan's improvisation
-our own group choreos 'make it work', 'fuego', 'icebox', 'get it poppin'
-hui yan's 'last night'
-sexy street jazz
-punking

and yes now this loser nic tay CAN ACTUALLY DO A BABY FREEZE!!!!! XD
i didn't realise that all i had to do was try it on my other arm. -_- bruised a shoulder, a hip, my waist, an elbow and grazed the same elbow for nothing. haha but MAN was it satisfying. :D

dance camp went very well. :) there's so much i learnt from it, not just the choreo or the baby freeze, but so much more. i learnt about
hiphop culture,
different teaching styles,
perseverance,
stage presence,
expressions,
improvisation and freestyle,
musicality,
versatily,
hiphop groove,
and many others.

i also learnt just how much dance means to me. :))

right now there might be a lot of things restricting me from giving dance my all. but one thing i know is that i want to improve. i want to get better. i want to be able to become ONE with the music. and i want to help bring MAD to greater heights.
this isn't just about me nictay or me one hiphop dancer. this is about one group of people, a group of FRIENDS, who have the same passion, and want to take it one step further and beyond.

thank you, Lord, for keeping watch over us. thank you, Lord, for MAD and dance.
and of course, thank you Lord for my family and friends. :)

my maid, someone who i regarded as a close friend and someone i trusted a lot and thought i knew well kinda betrayed my family recently. i can't give more details here, but all i can say is that i feel quite shocked and disappointed with her. can't believe this happened.

it just shows how wrong you can be about a person. :S
