how can my bro casey have a (real) mum jiayi and a (real) dad ezra when jiayi and ezra aren't together? does that make me jiayi and ezra's son as well? or is jiayi my stepmother and ezra my stepfather?

and why ON EARTH does grandma have an affair with the FARMER/GARDERNER. O_O
