what i've been up to.

in an attempt to limit my usage of the computer, i've decided to focus more on my drawing and story/comic writing. here's what i've been working on:

1. pokemon/jaxx & friends comic spoof. finishing page 3 now! XD

2. a story dedicated to hip hop dancing. it's hard to write about people dancing, trust me. so i've just written the introduction and will probably animate the rest when i know how to animate decently. XP it's suppose to serve as a means of inspiring me to dance. yes, i love dance so much i have to write a silly story on it. XD

3. fanart of cartoon couples. XD i can't believe myself, i must have been influenced by some people. *sticks out tongue*

4. chibis of the costumes that i've drawn my characters or mah pals before. i'm starting with that juliet pic. XD it's really fun drawing chibis!

5. christmas stuff. won't reveal much on this, but don't expect too much okay, guys. you know me la. X)

6. okay, this isn't really about drawing, but it's been the main source of my inspiration these few days. a cool and funny deviant art artist and her funny friends work on funny comics. i meant funny as in haha funny not weird funny. X) it's so amusing to read and look at their work. XD my favourite is this funny naruto doujinshi featuring shikamaru and ino. X) nah, i don't read/watch naruto, but i basically know who these two are. i think. XP

yes, that's what i've been up to. i tried going on fanfiction.net to look for nice fanfictions of my fave anime and cartoons, but to my slight annoyance, the people who write my favourite genres (action, adventure, humour) tend to write stories that are really hard for me to follow, twist the original cartoon/anime characters too much for my liking or make their stories slightly illogical.

don't get me wrong. i'm not saying that i'm better than them, nor am i saying that they are bad writers. i'm sure all of them have their strong points in writing fanfics. it's just that i find it hard to understand what's happening, especially when they give their own names to characters, like robin becomes richard, starfire becomes faith, raven becomes rachel, and beast boy becomes garfield.

no, it's not the author's fault. i'm just slow when it comes to these things. i have to admit that i enjoyed reading them except for the parts i just couldn't follow. i also don't like it when people keep using vulgar words in their fanfics. X(

i think i may try looking for more fanfics later, though. 8)

ack. my scanner is so lousy. otherwise, i'd be posting stuff. ;)
